Halloween Party

Another year, another Halloween costume. This year I wasn't feeling very creative. I went for the Hugh Jackman, easy way out. Complete with claws and white tee that he reps so well as Wolverine. Without seeing the claws most people were guessing someone from Grease, but I don't see it.

Fire Truck

Another one of those days, I'm sorry. This was the highlight of my day/evening. Saw this fire truck sitting on the side of the road and knew this was my opportunity for a pic of the day. So here it is, I tried to get a side or frontal shot but while driving proved too difficult.

Wall?

Shhh...I am quickly running out of things to take pictures of. So instead of just taking a picture of my wall, I am showing where I put my most prized boomerang that I brought back from Australia.

ECET

I decided my sophomore year to get a minor. It is going to be in Electrical Engineering. So that means absolutely nothing right now (I think). But it sounds so cool and gets a lot more attention than just saying that I am a CS (computer science) Major. This is one of the many hands on things that we build almost every week.

Yeah

Nicholas Hunnicutt is probably the funniest persons I know. I caught him off guard or he would have done some ridiculous poses for the camera.

Stash

I have been letting my facial hair grow out for quite a while now. Now, that I don't have a wedding to go to and look appropriate I decided to shave the goatee and leave the rest. I think it works.

B-Zach

This seems like a very popular year to get married it seems. One of my roommates from freshman year is already moving on the married life. Probably one of the better weddings I've been to. The best part was when he started singing on stage right before the final I do.

It took me a while but I finally remembered the song. It was Lost in the Moment by Big and Rich

Late Night

Not much going on here in Anderson this Friday night. So I called up one of my friends and chilled with him for couple hours, even hitting up T-Bell. We worked on my bike a tad, and then talked about the future and started to make plans to bike around Europe once we graduate.

Durable

This is my bad I "borrowed" from my brother. It has been wonderful to me. The poor bad has its zipper coming out of the seams though. To slow down the rate at which the hole opens I try not to zip it all the way. So I always have my bad awkwardly open at all times.

Climb Time

After 2 years of being lazy and just running track for my workouts, I finally decided to go back to a fun workout and do some indoor rock climbing. I had forgotten what it was like to use my fingers and forearms in this way. I will be coming back here more often for sure. The funny part of my day was that I used the locker that they had there. It was your standard combination lock. I tried it before I locking my stuff up to make sure it was the right numbers. But when I was done and tried to reopen it I could not get it. After about 15 minutes of retrying this, I finally ask someone if they had the correct order. Once they looked it up I saw that I had switched 2 of the numbers in my head. GRRR!!

Lemon Drop.

After spending the weekend at home. I finally get to see my parents 2 days later. They stopped by to say hi, so I treated them to one of my favorite places here in Anderson. This place is fantastic. Comes complete with a train track that runs around the ceiling.

Blue skys turning gray.

My fall break is officially over. Heading back to AU. This is my wonderful 35 year old house. We planted the tree in the front yard. It is naked now though. My backyard consits of a couple acre wooded area, that contains many fun filled adventure areas. On the way back I saw this baby train rolling along. 2 engines pushing and pulling 5 cars. Must be express cargo?

The Griffon

Hanging out with some friends today. Going to the bookstore, grabbing some dinner and then Iron Man 2. Which takes up most of my day. After the movie I catch up with one of my friends and talk for a couple hours.

Fall Break

It is fall break and we get a whole extra day off!! So what do I do? Sleep in and leave at the normal time that I get out of classes on a Friday. Make a 3 hour drive home and start hanging out with people back at home. My high school football team is much better than my college team. So it was nice coming back and seeing that they are still keeping up the winning tradition. It was a very welcome change seeing the score at 35-0 when it was my team that was ahead, along with a full stadium.

Roommates

I've had rather good luck so far with my roommates these past 3 years. This year they're rather clean, sociable and nice. The only thing is that they can't seem to figure out how to put things in the dishwasher. I have been throwing their stuff in with mine when I washed, but I want to see how long it will take for them to clean their stuff. Lets just say that this is Day 5.

Black Holes

Another day almost went by without finding a suitable picture. We lost the championship game for flag football so didn't want to get a picture of that. This is the wonderful book I have been reading for pleasure lately. I feel like such a nerd reading this, but it is very informative and entertaining. The only reason I even looked at this book was because it was written by one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time. Isaac Asimov.

Study Time

Well I have another test in my Gen. Psyc class tomorrow. The past few weeks I've neglected to do my reading. So tonight I decided to make up for that. I read roughly 60 pages of material and even managed to get to sleep before 1. I even found time to do a photo shoot trying to get this great picture with the book.

Tournament

The regular IM season is now over. Now it is time to see who will be called the IM champs. My team is first seed, hopefully we can stay in the #1 spot.

Its that time again.

Once again the leaves are changing colors and falling to the earth. Pretty soon the holiday season will be on us. If I'm not careful its all going to pass me by and I'll be left wondering what happened to the time.

So to ward against this from happening I am going to make sure that I make some memories. And above all Rule 32. Enjoy The Little Things. Even if that is only enjoying the 80 degree fall day watching the leaves as they change colors.

Habitat for Humanity

It is another year and which also comes another year of serving others. Today we woke up bright and early to do a service project near my school. We "helped" to do a little part of putting together some houses. We were suppose to have a beg role, but another group somehow got scheduled over us. This left us very little to do. So after a bit of work a switched roles and took over the role as supervisor.

Geo-caching & fire.

Today was a fabulous Friday. A very eventful and excitement filled evening kept me busy till late at night. If your never gone geo-chaching I would recommend going at least once. What you do is get a GPS location from the website and then you go and look for a small capsule filled with a piece of paper, and then you can sign it. Sometimes you can find some cool item in there that you can replace with one of your own and leave if for the next person to come along.

After we found our capsules all 30-40 of us went to a friends house and had a bonfire, smores and ate some amazing grilled food. At one point me and another person decided to start flashing people with our cameras which turned lots of people mad at us. I know I had some epic pictures of people being caught unaware.

8 a.m.

I made a decision after run on Wednesday to make some changes. This happens to be one of them. I decided to try and wake up and run everyday at 8. I would have run yesterday, due to some extreme pain and cramping I choose to stay in bed and recover. Today was about the same, except my determination got me out of bed and outside. It was a good start to my Friday and I think I will try to keep it up. This is what I looked like after my 30 min run. Sorry about the gross sweat on me, I'll try and not let it happen again.

Grade

I got my test back today. The prof was quick in grading this, but when there is only 4 students in the class I guess it doesn't take too long. I was a little unhappy about this grade but after seeing that another person missed twice as much as me. I am pleased with my grade. The nice thing this professor lets us do is correct the ones we got wrong and gives us half credit for it. So instead of a low B I should be getting an A on my first test!!

Calzone

Few things are better late night than pizza. And after my first run in months I was extremely hungry. When I got back from the run I put this little creation together, then showered while it was cooking. Shortly after getting out it was done!! It was superb. I once again neglected to snap a photo till after I ate it. Good thing it was enormous enough to last more than one meal. This is the half I will eat as leftovers for tomorrow.

Test!!

Every class has its tests. This is my first test for my evening class. I thought I was going to be a good student and arrive early and get some last minute questioning before the test. My plans were thwarted by this train. Good thing I left early, b/c how terrible would it have been if I was late to the first test.

Pong.

Today was a rather normal Monday until I got to my club meeting. After any important things we had to talk about we gathered together with some A&W Root Beer and some cups and played some root beer pong.

Logan was my partner, together we were undefeated during the 3 matches that we played. Logan made most of the cups but I had a few keys ones myself. At the end, another group, namely a person, wanted to have the title of Dux pong champ so the challenged us to a final game. It was extremely close and down to one cup each. The other team made the last one in first. So during the rebuttal shots Logan missed his and then I saved us by making a perfect shot to keep us in the game. After going to sudden death Logan and I came out on top. Declaring ourselves the undefeated champs.

Homecoming.

What a marvelous day to be outside. Sun is shining and a nice fall temperature. What a shame that it wasn't like that here. I am not sure if it could have been worse conditions. Cold and rainy, and to top things off they could have moved the street fair indoors since it was predicted to rain all morning. Which it did. Ruined everyones profits and good chance half of campus will be sick come Monday.

And to finish off the night, Encore!! What an enjoyable event. This was 80s encore. So any song from the 80s was sung. They had a slew of songs. From Poison to Whitney Houston, Weather Girls to Phil Collins. To finish off the night we had our pastor sing Every Rose Has its Thorn. Overall another good encore.

Sk8 Night

Tonight is one of the funnest events that gets put on here at AU. One of the awesome things that we often do is dress in the most ridiculous outfits we can find. This year I think I may have surpassed everyone. I found this gem of an outfit at one of my favorite stores. Goodwill always seems to have great things to buy. I found this wonderful pink leotard, and I even managed to fit it on me. Lets just say that once the night was over, more than one person was questioning my sexuality.
